Will the Supreme Court election be overturned? Conservative justices throw cold water on the idea
In a revised order, two GOP justices pushed back on Griffin's effort to overturn Riggs' apparent win. Republican Justice Richard Dietz didn't think Griffin's request should've even been considered.
On the heels of hefty public backlash over the 5-2 conservative majority state Supreme Court’s order on Tuesday blocking certification of the apparent win by their Democratic colleague, Justice Allison Riggs, the high court revised its order to more clearly lay out some of the justices’ reasoning.
While the high court is still blocking certification and plans to review the matter, two GOP justices are throwing cold water on Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin’s effort to discard the ballots of more than 60,000 voters.
And one conservative on the bench made an unusual public break from his GOP colleagues.
