House approves Medicaid expansion compromise bill
The measure is expected to be signed into law by Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper. An estimated 600,000 North Carolinians would be able to access Medicaid once a new state budget is enacted.
The North Carolina House on Wednesday voted overwhelmingly in favor of a Medicaid expansion compromise bill that stands to expand access to health care for 600,000 residents.
