Will a three-judge panel overturn NC's Supreme Court election?
A three-judge panel is reviewing the ongoing Supreme Court election dispute between Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin and Democratic Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs.

It’s been 136 days since the Nov. 5 election, and the only undecided race in the country is inching closer to a resolution.
On Friday, a three-judge panel on the North Carolina Court of Appeals heard the ongoing Supreme Court election dispute between Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin and Democratic Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs.
The two Republican judges on the panel, John Tyson and Fred Gore, appeared receptive to at least some of Griffin’s arguments, while Democratic Judge Toby Hampson forcefully pushed back on Griffin’s efforts to overturn the election.
Griffin is hoping to win by having more than 66,000 ballots discarded over some combination of voters lacking state residency, not providing a photo ID or having incomplete registration information on a state database.
