A prominent Republican is exploring a political future outside the legislature.
Rep. Sarah Stevens, a Surry County Republican who has served in the House since 2009, is considering a bid for state Supreme Court next year against Democratic incumbent Justice Anita Earls.
Stevens told Anderson Alerts a final decision could be made in the coming weeks. She said she’s “exploring options,” which include a run against Earls.
