On Monday night, North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper delivered his State of the State Address at the General Assembly, where he touted jobs created under his administration, pushed for teacher pay raises and urged lawmakers to immediately expand Medicaid.
His speech was followed by the GOP’s response, delivered by Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, the frontrunner for the party’s 2024 gubernatorial nomination.
