Senate committee holds off on nixing public access to autopsy reports

A key Senate committee held off on advancing a bill on Tuesday that stood to eliminate public access to autopsy reports.
Instead, the Department of Health and Human Services and Conference of District Attorneys will spend the next week working out issues identified with the proposal, including the reduced public access to autopsy reports and a proposed overhaul of the Commission on Indigent Defense Services.
