Riggs to participate in oral arguments as Griffin maintains push to overturn election
Democratic Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs will hear a number of cases before the high court on Tuesday. Meanwhile, GOP opponent Jefferson Griffin has appealed his rejected election protest.

When the North Carolina Supreme Court returns on Tuesday, Democratic Justice Allison Riggs will be on the bench to hear cases, according to her campaign. The state judicial branch communications office confirmed Riggs was expected to participate in Tuesday’s hearings.
Meanwhile, on Monday, Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin appealed a lower court’s decision to reject his election protests last week. The dispute will now work its way to three of Griffin’s colleagues.
