Riggs overtakes Griffin in NC Supreme Court race
On Friday, the Wake County Board of Elections reported Democratic Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs netted 2,882 votes against Republican Jefferson Griffin. But six counties have yet to report.
Nearly all of North Carolina’s 100 counties have finished canvassing. And with results coming in from Wake County late Friday, Democratic state Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs overtook Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin’s lead.
In a state where over 5.7 million ballots have been cast, Riggs now leads Griffin by 106 votes. Her 106-vote lead represents a difference of 0.0019 percentage points.
