Republicans unveil casino bill language

North Carolina lawmakers just released a 49-page standalone bill linking Medicaid expansion and casinos. Here’s what you need to know about the latest version of House Bill 149:
Video lottery terminals
The North Carolina State Lottery Commission would oversee video lottery terminals and allow for up to 35,000 terminals across the state over the first three years the bill is implemented. After three years, up to 50,000 terminals could be permitted.
