Republicans pour in $5.3 million to defend House supermajority
Ten legislative candidates will benefit from the party's initial television spending. How will the money be distributed?
North Carolina House Republicans are reserving $5.28 million for television ads aimed at maintaining the party’s supermajority in the chamber.
Stephen Wiley, the House GOP’s caucus director, shared details of the party’s initial wave of television spots exclusively with Anderson Alerts, which is closely monitoring all competitive legislative races.
Wiley noted additional money will come between now and the Nov. 5 election and that the $5.3 million initial ad buy reflects party’s commitment to winning down the ballot. He added that House Republicans have $1 million more in available cash compared to this time in 2022.
The nearly $5.3 million in television ads will bolster 10 Republicans across the state.
