Public will maintain access to autopsy reports, top lawmaker says

North Carolina lawmakers won’t go forward with a plan to eliminate public access to autopsy reports.
The bill was heading to a vote on Tuesday, but a top lawmaker now says the measure won’t include public records law changes added to the bill last month.
