NC sees record early voting turnout, with positive early indicator for the GOP
More than 353,000 North Carolinians took advantage of the first day of in-person early voting. The data shows good news for Republicans, but still too early to draw any major conclusions.

North Carolina voters turned out in record numbers on Thursday for the first day of in-person early voting, according to data from the State Board of Elections.
The 353,166 ballots accepted at early voting sites across the state represent a 1.3% increase from the 2020 election.
Thus far, Republicans are representing a larger share of votes than years past at this stage in the election.
