North Carolina House lawmakers on Wednesday approved a bill to give wealthier parents an at least partially subsidized private schooling option and compel local sheriffs to collaborate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
House Bill 10, which passed by a vote of 67-43, now heads to Democratic Gov. Roy Cooper for an expected veto.
