Election Night Recap: Results and Highlights
From top of ballot to the bottom, here's what you should know from Election Night in North Carolina.

Disorder in the Court
Republican Court of Appeals Judge Jefferson Griffin leads Democratic incumbent Supreme Court Justice Allison Riggs by 0.18 percentage points, or 9,851 votes. The race is too close to call and could very well qualify for a recount.
Former state Rep. Tom Murry leads Democratic incumbent Court of Appeals Judge Carolyn Thompson by just under 2 points.
Uncalled Congressional Race

The 1st Congressional District race remains too close to call, with Democratic incumbent Don Davis leading Republican challenger Laurie Buckhout by 1.6 percentage points, or 5,826 votes. In a statement, Buckhout said she was planning for the possibility of a recount, which she could trigger if the race falls within 1 percentage point. Buckhout wrote, “Once the votes have been counted, we will look at all options for getting this over and done with. If a recount is required, we will be ready."
