From the state superintendent to an oil executive, meet the people building out Stein's administration
As Attorney General Josh Stein prepares to take over as governor in 2025, more than 100 people are tasked with helping assemble his administration. They include some current GOP elected officials.
A document obtained by Anderson Alerts and confirmed for authenticity shows more than 100 people are helping build out Gov.-elect Josh Stein’s administration. Some names on Stein’s transition teams won’t come as much surprise, while others are likely to raise eyebrows.
Thus far, Stein has publicly shared a list of transition team leaders tasked with reviewing more than 2,000 job applications. But that list doesn’t include many individuals who could shape the next four year’s of his governorship.
The document obtained by Anderson Alerts lays out the detailed makeup of Stein’s transition teams, which stands to shape the policy direction of the state for years to come. A spokesperson for Stein’s transition team didn’t respond to requests for comment or confirmation on the document, but one of the individuals listed in the transition team, state Sen. Danny Britt, confirmed its authenticity.
