House OK's bill to change oversight of deaf and blind schools
Gov. Roy Cooper vetoed a similar measure last year after lawmakers sought to make 80% of appointments onto boards of trustees.
The North Carolina House on Wednesday voted to put three schools for deaf and blind students under the purview of five-member boards of trustees largely chosen by Republican lawmakers.
