House approves state budget, will take one final vote early Friday
The bipartisan House vote came less than 24 hours after the budget language was unveiled.
North Carolina House lawmakers on Thursday held an initial vote approving the state budget. The Senate is scheduled to give initial approval to the spending plan at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Final votes are expected to be held in the House and Senate on Friday at 12:05 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., respectively.
