Club for Growth has endorsed Republican Bo Hines in one of North Carolina’s most divisive primary contests, setting the stage for an even messier congressional battle in the Triad.
The D.C.-based political action group has a track record of putting candidates over the finish line, and its support of Hines in the state’s 6th Congressional District could prove highly influential in the final weeks leading to the March 5 primary.
On Monday, Hines was just one of two U.S. House candidates in the country to be endorsed by the Club for Growth.
