Wake County elections board clears Grafstein for 2024 ballot
Her potential Republican general election opponent, Scott Lassiter, is unlikely to appeal the decision to the State Board of Elections.
Wake County elections officials on Thursday unanimously voted to keep Democratic state Sen. Lisa Grafstein on the 2024 ballot, finding that she moved into the newly drawn 13th Senate District days before a residency deadline.
Under state law, legislative candidates must have resided in the district they’re seeking to represent at least one year before the general election.
