At 4:20, Senate sends medical marijuana legalization bill to House

A similar effort stalled in the House last year out of concern it could pave the way for recreational use of cannabis.

At 4:20pm on Wednesday, the North Carolina Senate sent a bill to the House that would legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes. Exactly 24 hours earlier, the measure passed an initial floor vote.
