Former President Donald Trump has won the presidential election, with sizable wins in key battleground states, including North Carolina, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
Propelled by voter frustration over the economy and illegal border crossings, former President Donald Trump has won the U.S. presidential election.
Voters surveyed in the Associated Press VoteCast said they viewed Trump as a stronger leader than Harris and more capable of handling a crisis.
Trump dominated North Carolina at nearly all stages of voting, carrying the Tar Heel state by 3.4 percentage points. While Democrats have historically done better earlier into the voting process, Trump outperformed on in-person early voting, held his own with mail-in voting and replicated GOP success on Election Day voting. Vice President Kamala Harris only edge out Trump in mail-in voting.
