There’s 14 U.S. House seats up for grabs in North Carolina next year. With only one general election contest expected to be highly competitive, the outcomes of 13 contests are likely to be decided in the March 5 primary.
And where highly competitive primary races, every vote will count. But in some races, candidates will miss out on an important vote: their own. That’s because, unlike aspiring state lawmakers, congressional hopefuls don’t have to live in the district they’re seeking to represent.
