Robinson files $50 million defamation lawsuit, provides no evidence refuting allegations he frequented video porn store or made explicit posts on porn website
On Tuesday, North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson filed a defamation lawsuit. In the 16-page filing, he provided no evidence substantiating his denials.
North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson on Tuesday filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit after revelations emerged 26 days ago that he reportedly wrote a number of lewd and offensive posts on a pornographic website called Nude Africa.
In the 16-page lawsuit filed in Wake County Superior Court and in a news conference on Tuesday, Robinson and his attorney, Jesse Binnall, pushed back on CNN’s reporting of the lieutenant governor’s alleged online posts. They also sued a former video porn store employee cited in a story from The Assembly who had accused Robinson of frequenting the store during the 1990s and early 2000s.
But neither Robinson nor his attorney provided any evidence to substantiate the lieutenant governor’s vehement denials.
